What is Memorii Studio?

Memorii Studio is an Australian custom portrait business founded by Ian Burke. We create premium, museum-quality canvas wall art from your photos — pets, people, couples, families, and bespoke custom artwork. Every portrait is a refined digital illustration, printed on gallery-quality canvas, and shipped worldwide. We were built on one belief: the moments and the beings you love deserve more than a photo buried on your phone.

What can you create portraits of?

We create three types of custom portraits:

• Custom Pet Portraits — dogs, cats, horses, and more. Owners can be included in the photo too.
• Custom People Portraits — couples, families, friends, individuals. Any occasion, any combination of people.
• Custom Artwork — weddings, anniversaries, memorial pieces, family milestones, and bespoke commissions that combine portraits with names, dates, and personal details.

What art styles does Memorii Studio offer?

We offer three art styles across all products:

• Modern Illustration — our most popular style. Contemporary, detailed, rich tones. Works beautifully for pets, people, and families.
• Watercolour — soft, expressive, romantic. Paint splashes and colour bleeds give this style an emotional quality. Our most requested style for couples, memorial pieces, and weddings.
• Pop Art — bold, vibrant, high-energy. Flat colours, strong outlines, striking on a wall. Great for pets with strong markings and fun couple or family gifts.

Are your portraits created by hand or generated by AI?

Every portrait at Memorii Studio is created using a refined illustration process. We use your photo as a reference to create original artwork — not a filter, not a generic AI generator. The result is a genuine piece of art that looks beautiful on your wall.

What sizes are available?

All Memorii Studio portraits are available in three sizes: 30×40cm, 40×50cm, and 50×70cm. Printed on premium gallery-wrapped canvas and arrive ready to hang.

Ordering & Process

How do I order a custom portrait from Memorii Studio?

Ordering is simple. Choose your product (pets, people, or custom artwork), select your style, size, and print type, then add to cart. At checkout you'll upload your photo and add any personal details (names, dates, etc. if relevant). We create your portrait and send you a digital preview by email within 5–7 business days. You approve it — or request revisions — and we print and ship once you're happy.

How long does a custom portrait take?

We typically deliver your digital preview within 5–7 business days of receiving your order and photo. Once you approve, printing and shipping adds a few additional days depending on your location. You'll be kept informed throughout.

Can I include multiple people or pets in one portrait?

Yes — we support up to four subjects per portrait across all product types. You can mix people and pets in the same portrait. Just upload a photo with everyone in it and select the correct number of subjects when ordering.

Can I include a person and a pet together?

Absolutely. Many of our most popular portraits include both an owner and their pet. Select the number of subjects to cover everyone in the portrait.

What if I'm not happy with my portrait?

You'll see a full digital preview before anything is printed. If something isn't right, let us know and we'll revise it. Revisions are included — we don't print until you're completely happy. That's the Memorii Studio guarantee.

Can I cancel or change my order after placing it?

Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to make changes. Once artwork has been created and approved, we're unable to cancel as every portrait is made to order specifically for you.

Custom People Portraits

What occasions suit a people portrait?

People portraits work for virtually any occasion — anniversaries, weddings, milestone birthdays, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Christmas, housewarmings, or simply because. They make thoughtful, personal gifts that genuinely surprise people.

Which style works best for people portraits?

Watercolour is our most popular choice for couples and romantic pieces. Modern Illustration works beautifully for families and groups where strong likeness matters. Pop Art is great for fun, bold gifts for people who want something that makes a statement.

Can I include a pet in a people portrait?

Yes — families with pets can include their dog, cat, or horse in the people portrait. Just upload the photo with everyone in it.

Custom Artwork

What counts as custom artwork?

Custom artwork covers anything beyond a straightforward portrait — wedding canvases, anniversary pieces, memorial art, family milestone pieces, and bespoke commissions that incorporate names, dates, locations, or other personal details. If you can describe it and send us a photo, we can most likely create it.

Can I include names and dates in the artwork?

Yes — add the names, dates, or any other personal details you'd like included in the order notes at checkout. We'll incorporate them into the design.

Can I order a memorial portrait for a person who has passed?

Yes. We handle memorial commissions with care and sensitivity. If you'd like to discuss your piece before ordering, reach out via our contact page and we'll talk through it with you.

What photo should I use for a wedding portrait?

Any well-lit photo where both faces are clearly visible works well. Your favourite photo from the day — candid or formal — is perfect. High resolution is best but most phone photos work fine.

Photos

What makes a good photo for a portrait?

For the best result, your photo should be:

• Well lit — natural daylight or near a window works best
• In focus — especially the face and eyes
• Taken at eye level — not looking down from above
• High resolution — straight from your phone camera is perfect
• Clear of heavy shadows or filters

What if my photo isn't good enough?

Upload it anyway and we'll assess it before starting. If we need something better, we'll contact you before we begin. We'd rather take the extra step than deliver anything less than perfect.

Can I use an old photo of a pet or person who has passed away?

Absolutely. Many of our customers order memorial portraits to honour someone they've lost. Older photos can work well — just upload what you have and we'll let you know if we need anything else. For memorial portraits we recommend our Watercolour style, which has a soft, gentle quality that suits these pieces beautifully.

Printing & Shipping

What is the portrait printed on?

All Memorii Studio portraits are printed on premium gallery-wrapped canvas. Every canvas arrives ready to hang with no additional framing required. We also offer wooden framed prints, metal framed prints, and digital downloads.

Does Memorii Studio ship worldwide?

Yes — we ship worldwide from Australia including to the USA, UK, Canada, Europe, New Zealand, and all Australian states and territories.

How long does shipping take?

Once your portrait is approved and sent to print, delivery typically takes a few business days within Australia. International shipping times vary by country. You'll receive tracking information once your order has shipped.

Pricing

How much does a custom portrait cost at Memorii Studio?

Canvas portraits start from $149 AUD for a 30×40cm unframed canvas. Wooden framed prints start from $179 AUD, metal framed prints from $199 AUD, and digital downloads are a flat $59 AUD. Pricing varies by size and print type — full pricing is shown on each product page. Shipping is calculated at checkout.
